  • I always chuckle when I read about how Sen. Sessions pontificates over judicial nominees' fitness to serve. He is the rare federal court nominee to be shot down by the Senate, which rejected him over racially insensitive remarks he reportedly made.

  • OK, if Selig doesn't overturn the call and give Galarraga the perfect game, perhaps he can put an asterisk next to the game. The asterisk could call attention to the blown call, even though the record shows that Galarraga pitched a one-hit gem against the Indians.

  • Phil is No. 1 for the moment. My hunch is that Tiger will get his groove back eventually. I'm thinking it'll be Woods/Mickelson for several seasons down the road.
